Available Finishes

Below is a list of available finishes. Because our products are milled from solid hardwood, we have a limited selection of wood finishes. 

Walnut

Walnut is our most popular wood species. We offer walnut in a clear wax finish which provides a natural appearance that is tough and durable. 

Birch 

Solid birch is available in a clear varnish top coat (sprayed). We choose a flat luster which really shows the shape of our products in the reflected light. 

Colorant 

Because birch is a lighter wood, it responds well to colorants which tints the wood to a desired color. Another popular choice is the 'cedar' colorant. The colorant is then top coated with a flat varnish. 

Oak Wash

We've developed our own wash process for oak. 

Chocolate Oak 

Our wax process can be ordered with a chocolate colorant mixed into the wax.  This is an alternate appearance to walnut if looking for something more classic.
