Suggested Driver
We suggest using the new B&C DCX464 Coaxial Compression Driver with this horn. This is an exciting new product from B&C with impeccable measured performance. The DCX464 uses a 1.4" diameter throat which is great news for Audiophile applications which require wide dispersion in the treble. Currently the DCX464 retails for $723 CAD each. (price may vary)
Turn-key speaker build...
The ES-290 can be incorporated into a turn-key build as shown in the picture below. Various bass cabinet and crossover configurations are available. The crossover can be fully passive, active 3-way with either fully analogue circuitry or using DSP. The fully active analogue solution uses a high quality Linkwitz-Riley crossover, Constant Voltage, 4th order, 24dB/Octave.
